Zachary Major Manago June 17, 2010-December 17, 2010
My best friend/brother was hit so hard in a hit and run while riding his fixie in Wahiawa around 11 pm Friday night that he his body flew across the highway. He had no pulse, and all his biker friends had tried so hard to help him out while waiting for the ambulance. He was said to be hit by a white pick-up truck that was swerving in and out of traffic and onto the shoulder lane. I know Zach, he’s a good guy. He did everything with caution and he knew what he was doing. His lights were brighter than regular bike lights and always wore his helmet. He didn’t deserve this at all. He was such a genuine guy-nice to anyone and everyone that came along his way. He never hated anyone. I just can’t believe someone could be so cold hearted and hit him. I don’t know how you couldn’t have seen him and on top of hitting him how could you have left him..I don’t understand why he was taken from us, its still so surreal to me. He meant so much to so many people, especially his family, our group of friends, and his baseball teammates from Moanalua and HPU. He had a lot going for him. I just wished he was still alive so he was be able to do the things he was more than capable of doing. I love you Zach, and I miss you so much. You don’t understand the impact on my life that you had. We had so much planned for the break with all of us, it was gonna be just like summer. I wish you were still here with us. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. He will be forever missed and never forgotten.
